Compatibility Covers the App, the Device and the Competition Rules
A phone can install IX6 yet still need more storage, stability or permitted controls for a specific event.
Review both platform requirements and event conditions. Compatibility answers whether the official app can run; competition readiness asks whether it can remain stable, use required functions and comply with device or accessory restrictions throughout the match.

Match the operating system, memory and storage requirements
Confirm the supported operating-system range and device architecture where listed. Leave storage beyond the installer size for updates, temporary files and permitted recordings. A device at the minimum can open the app while still struggling under event conditions.
Install the official build and test sign-in, resource download and a full practice block. Record any warning rather than dismissing it because the home screen loads.
- Supported operating-system version
- Available memory and free storage
- Official app build
- Stable performance over a full session
Test controls, voice, recording and accessories together
Verify touch response, orientation, audio routing and microphone behaviour. If the event requires recording, test it while the game and voice channel run. Some devices handle each feature alone but become unstable when all are active.
Read restrictions on controllers, emulators, external displays and peripherals. A technically compatible accessory can still be prohibited in a mobile-only division.

A compatible device also needs a safe way to stay connected
Test the actual Wi-Fi or mobile connection for latency changes and packet loss. Confirm that the charger, cable and placement are safe and do not obstruct cooling or controls. Avoid unknown power accessories during long events.
If the device barely meets requirements, use stable settings and plan shorter practice blocks. Do not use modified software to hide an unsupported configuration.
Questions worth settling early
No. Test stability, controls, voice, recording and any event-specific equipment rules.
Yes. Event divisions can restrict controllers, emulators, displays or peripherals.
Leave space beyond the installer for updates, temporary files and required recordings.
