CHECK THE CONSEQUENCES BEFORE CLOSURE

Account Closure Should Not Begin with an Unfinished Event

Review registrations, disputes, performance records and contact details before requesting permanent IX6 account closure.

Closing an account can affect access to event confirmations, result history and open support references. It is different from signing out, uninstalling the app or pausing notifications. Competitors should understand which records must remain for administration or legal reasons and which choices are available for personal data.

01BEFORE THE REQUEST

Resolve the records that still depend on account access

Check upcoming registrations, current team rosters, result reviews and any pending performance-prize verification. Leaving during an active process can make communication and identity confirmation harder. If the event allows withdrawal, follow its roster or cancellation rule separately from closing the platform account.

Download or save information you are entitled to retain, including event confirmations and case references. Remove saved payment or contact details where the account controls allow it, but do not alter records in a way that misrepresents who competed.

  • Performance-prize verification status
  • Records or privacy choices to retain
02CLOSURE PATH

Verify the request without sharing credentials

Start closure from the signed-in account or recognised support route. The platform may need to confirm ownership and explain a waiting period. Complete verification yourself and do not give a password or OTP to someone offering to close the account through private messages.

Read whether the request can be reversed during a short period and what happens to public profile information. A deleted login does not necessarily erase every competition record when organisers must preserve results, integrity reviews or legal documentation.

03AFTER CLOSURE

Do not create a replacement profile to escape an event decision

Once closure is complete, test no further sign-in attempts unless the instructions provide a recovery route. Keep the closure reference. If public information remains unexpectedly visible, contact privacy support with the reference and the exact page involved.

A new account should not be used to bypass eligibility, conduct or roster restrictions attached to the original participant. If a return is permitted, ask support how previous competition history is handled before registering again.

QUICK CLARITY

Questions worth settling early

No. Uninstalling removes the app from a device but does not complete the account-closure process.

Resolve or document the review first so identity, event and communication records remain available.

Not necessarily. Some records may be retained for result integrity, administration or legal obligations described in the policy.
